3 held in alleged assault on school bus
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 9 (UPI) -- Three St. Petersburg, Fla., high school students are charged in the alleged sexual attack on a 15-year-old girl in a parked school bus, authorities said Friday.
Branden Allen, 18, was charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment and two boys -- one 16 and one 15 -- were charged with principal to sexual battery and false imprisonment. All are students at Dixie Hollings High School and all charges are felonies.
Pinellas County investigators alleged that Allen sexually battered the victim about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in a parked school bus while the other teens acted as lookouts, The Tampa (Fla.) Tribune said.
The bus, which was empty, left the Dixie Hollins campus late each day to accommodate students taking part in extracurricular academic or sports activities, officials said.
