Angela Park again leads at 36-hole mark

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France, July 25 (UPI) -- Angela Park shot a 4-under-par 68 Friday and owns a 1-stroke lead halfway through the Evian Masters golf tournament in France.

It marked the fifth time this year that Park, who is at 10-under-par 134, had the 36-hole lead, but she is still looking for her first tournament win of 2008.

Helen Alfredsson turned in a sterling 9-under-par 63 Friday to vault into second place while a five-golfer group is tied for third at 8-under 136. First-round leader Lorena Ochoa shot 1-under 73 Friday and is among those tied for eighth at 6-under.

Park shot 31 on the back nine Thursday and nearly matched that in the second round with a 33. Her bogey-free round closed with birdies at 17 and 18.

Alfredsson's opening round was marred by a triple-bogey 7 at No. 12 but her play Friday was very solid. She fired six birdies in the 10-hole span from Nos. 6-15.
